Once this year’s Oscar nominees were announced, I realized I hadn’t seen any of them. I really don’t make it out to the megaplex movie theaters very often. It’s expensive, and it also means have to wear pants. Plus, being wedged into a seat with a man behind me kicking the back of my chair is not fun. I’d rather be snuggled up on my couch watching a cool documentary on Netflix.

Pop some popcorn. Prepare your favorite hot tea. Curl up on your cozy couch. Fire up your Netflix account (sorry non-subscribers) and watch these five Oscar-nominated movies in preparation for the Academy Awards telecast on March 2.
